You could try to couple the moving jaw to the shaker table, to solve the feeding problem. I think moving the table back and to is better than trying to lift it up and down. Best of luck..

Very charitable and kind of you and your wife. I am really impressed. I wish the world had more people like you in it. I would love to do something like this in our community. Their was this homeless man called Renier who stayed in our poor neighborhood, very kind sweet man. He used to collect the scrap from all the local houses to sell, he would always thank us for the scrap. He had nowhere safe to sleep, he had to sleep in the streets. Then one night someone murder$d him for his scrap metal. I am devastated 💔 😢. He told me he wanted to open a small scrap business. If he had one of these he would still be here. Your idea is fantastic and so are you and your wife ❤ be safe

Kevin, it just hit me when I saw the bugs flying around you in the video, there’s some interesting research I saw in a video on the weather channel website which states mosquitoes HATE the smell of coconut. I have yet to test it for myself because they think of my blood as some sort of fine wine, but I thought it was worth passing along. 😇

Its cool what you're doing but I know if I was down and out homeless and found this thing I would be so happy but then all sudden while you're enjoying yourself you get blindsided by the person that built it wanting to talk about your story on camera and just not respecting your privacy I probably wouldn't want to stay anymore. Alot of these homeless people have mental health issues and don't like to be bothered. But again tho it's cool what you're doing I just think you should come up with a different way of approaching these people.

I feel like some level of trench engineering might be worth considering to deal with water problem i may be missing some details on this, but to my knowledge soldiers sitting/standing for too long in mud or water while in their trenches, they would get trench foot the solution - they had a raised up platform over the bottom ground level for soldiers to stand on so it may be worth considering haveing a lower section that you can easily access, maybe 3 inches, maybe 6 inches, maybe a foot which is just dedicated to drainage then a higher level area for you to stand on

I don't know how easy this would be but you have a reciprocating motion with the moving jaw. A linkage system could posdibaly allow you to have a more reliable shake table

rock crushers typically self destruct themselves. you need to continuously check the bolts , nuts getting loose, parts eating themselves etc, and you need to periodically reweld hard surfacing to the the crushing plates etc.

I've been watching off-grid living/bushcraft videos for weeks now and this is the first one I've seen in which anyone has bothered to even mention an outhouse or any other kind of long term crapping arrangement, even though you'd think that it's kind of a big deal in terms of quality of life.

When I was a kid I wanted an underground fort so I built basically a shallow grave but I put a box of plywood and framing in it. It was pretty cool but it did get a bunch of mold between the wall and the dirt and then my mom put a trailer in for my grandma to live in and it got covered up.

instead of a pivot window, it would be better to have a screen & window you can open to different points. You could setup a 12v battery, solar panel & charger for A LOT less than a jackery, There's a youtube video on a carpentar that build similair things not bike driven from scrap materials & the city took & destroyed them cause they were against code, so work with the city to allow them!
